I have twitter.com/bitcarfan and I cannot log into it (Chrome browser, Desktop + Mobile) with just my username. I must enter my full email address to login. If I only enter the username I get an error that I have to be logged in for that. Yeah... Only logging in with my @ddress works. Weird, right?
Anyone else seen this before? Bug or new "feature"? :(
Peace!
I thought to remember that you once told me phone verification for locked accounts wasn't possible.
Today I installed TAM and noticed it has options for several providers.
1. can I phone verify / unlock accounts with it, automatically?
2. which provider would work best?
3. any tips on getting a phone number that can receive texts and isn't local to my country but local to the sms services' request?
I guess Windows 7 had some backup lingering - I found my virtual machines back after a reboot.
I started TAP4 and found all my accounts were gone! Any chance to recover them? And fix the tasks that now seem to fail too because there are no accounts defined? :(
I wanted to scan about 50 tweets per search for an account that tweets a lot and filter out things I need.
When I ran the task, I noticed it only searched 20 tweet results, not 50. Why? Is there a max?
I know it sounds logically: accounts that are banned cannot be used because: why would you!
I'll tell you what those accounts are still great for: you can still login with them. You can still do searches with them (like from:account #RT). And these accounts cannot get banned again.
So while for a Retweet action a banned account is no good; it's excellent as the account to do searches with. No Captcha's anymore either... ;-)
Kindly implement the choice to "use" these suspended accounts for search (and other activities??)
Thanks.
While I continue waiting on answers on a few tickets until "the programmers have investigated and come back to me as soon as possible" (...sick*)...
I have another question: to troubleshoot THE CONSTANT CRASHES I KEEP HAVING, I'm now moving my TAP installation to a new, fresh VirtualBox (instead of a barebone server or Hyper-V)... Because I was tired last night, I just started TAP.
This morning I noticed TAP4 needs 8% CPU usage ALL THE TIME, ONLY to show the registration screen...!
Like wtf is it doing???!
See:
This is a notice that your application, TAP 4 201805, is no longer allowed to perform write operations.
Please make sure that your application follows Twitter's API Terms of Service
To request that your application be re-enabled for write operations, please visit our support form.
While this restriction is still in place, please do not attempt to register a new API key for your application without authorization from Twitter. Such an action is a violation of our API Terms of Service and may result in the permanent suspension of your application (as well as any associated developer accounts).
When support asks you to send the log files for a task, it's a pita. Either you have to manually add them all, or compress *all* logs and send them a big ass file with too much information.
Solution? Create a rar archive that ONLY contains folders that match your task name.
See example below, for my tasks starting with "(anti-spam)"...
Install the latest Winrar.
Start an elevated command prompt with administrator rights: cmd.exe
Give the following command to create an archive "tasklogs (anti-spam only).rar":
"%ProgramFiles%\WinRAR\Rar.exe" u -cfg- -ep1 -idq -r -rr8 -y "C:\Program Files (x86)\WhiteHatBox\AppFile\183\taskLogs\taskLogs (anti-spam only).rar" "C:\Program Files (x86)\WhiteHatBox\AppFile\183\taskLogs\*\(anti-spam)*\*"
(32 bit Windows users should remove the " (x86)" above...!)
If you don't like using task manager to follow the archiving process, use the following command instead (slower):
"%ProgramFiles%\WinRAR\Rar.exe" u -cfg- -ep1 -ibck -r -rr8 -y "C:\Program Files (x86)\WhiteHatBox\AppFile\183\taskLogs\taskLogs (anti-spam only).rar" "C:\Program Files (x86)\WhiteHatBox\AppFile\183\taskLogs\*\(anti-spam)*\*"
(32 bit Windows users should remove the " (x86)" above...!)

PS: support? you might want to pin this one too :/
Per title: Check Accounts Mobile gives "normal" on all my accounts but that's incorrect. Some of them have to be unlocked first, but TAP doesn't notice this!
